At Moon Valley, we've created a truly unique camping experience for nature enthusiasts.
Nestled beyond an active farm within the forest, our glamping tents provide stunning views of sprawling pastures set against mountain backdrops and picturesque sunsets.
We're conveniently located just 50 miles from midtown Manhattan, adjacent to the Appalachian Trail. The camp sits at the base of Wawayanda Mountain, between two iconic hikes: "Pochuck Boardwalk" and "Stairway to Heaven"—the latter featuring "Pinwheel Vista," one of New Jersey's most breathtaking viewpoints. Our campground is also ideally situated between the popular towns of Warwick, NY, and Vernon, NJ, both offering a wealth of activities, restaurants, and shopping opportunities.

In the summer of 2020, we embarked on our journey to create Moon Valley Campground.
The property we discovered was perfect for our vision. Our unique features—sharing a border with Wawayanda State Park and providing direct access to the Appalachian Trail—truly set us apart.
In just a few years, Moon Valley has blossomed from a wild idea into a beloved destination. Here, people come to reconnect—with themselves, with others, and with the natural world around them.
Our Story
meet our founder
Dominic Giello, born and raised in nearby Warwick NY, grew up exploring the local area. Now, he shares this beloved landscape with others through Moon Valley. The campground, born from Dominic's passion for nature, allows visitors to create memories and reconnect with the outdoors. Despite the challenges of developing the camp, Dominic finds managing it to be his most rewarding journey yet.
