Moon Valley Campground was awesome! The sites were clean, organized, and easy to access—yet still felt tucked away in the woods. Our whole family (and dog) had an amazing time relaxing, playing games, and enjoying nature. The nearby Appalachian Trail was a great bonus. Perfect spot for a comfortable, family-friendly camping trip under the stars!

Best camping trip ever! We stayed two nights at Heaven’s Landing and it was perfect—clean, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife. The nearby Stairway to Heaven and Vernon Boardwalk hikes were amazing, and everything matched the description perfectly. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

This was my second stay at Moon Valley Campground, and I almost didn’t want to leave a review just to keep it a hidden gem! 🤣 After an amazing first trip with a friend, I brought my whole family this time—and it was just as perfect. Both Hilltop Hideaway and Heaven’s Landing were beautiful, and Dom was so helpful when I mixed up my booking. It’s the perfect escape from everyday life, with tons to do nearby. Can’t wait for visit number three!

We absolutely loved our stay at Moon Valley! The host was responsive, the site was just as described, and the location couldn’t be better. Our primitive tent spot was beautiful, with direct access to the Appalachian Trail right from our tent. We’ll definitely be back!

If you’re looking for an elevated camping experience Moon Valley Campground is it! The campsites are very secluded and private. We stayed at the hilltop hideaway which had a beautiful view of a nearby farm. There were even occasional cows grazing! Very clean tent and well maintained grounds. We will certainly be staying again!

Fantastic experience from booking to checkout. Can’t decide who loved it more, the adults, the kids, or the doggie. Sites are well cared for and very close to the trails. It’s become a yearly tradition for us - perfect blend of wilderness, relaxation, & all the amenities that make camping fun / painless.

Couldn’t have found a better campground! The setup had everything we needed for a relaxing, hassle-free stay—no heavy gear required. Our site was private with beautiful views, and the nearby trails led to incredible mountaintop sunsets. Perfect spot for a peaceful weekend getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

I took a last minute trip and booked the dome. The views were incredible and the layout of the grounds was great. I loved the easy access to the Appalachian Trail, and it's also a convenient location to many other hiking areas and easy access to grocery stores. The toilets were kept very clean and the dome was spotless. Can't wait to come back.

Hands-down the best camping trip we’ve ever had. I brought my 7- and 3-year-old to Moon Valley Campground to spark a love for the outdoors — and it exceeded every expectation. My son learned to build a fire, my daughter explored endlessly, and even my non-camper wife said she’d come back! The sites were spotless, peaceful, and perfect for families. Dominic was incredibly helpful, and the nearby trails were beautiful and kid-friendly. We left happy, tired, and already planning our next trip!

What an awesome place! I stayed in the Dome (The Lookout) and it was peaceful, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The view was stunning, and I loved the thoughtful touches like wipes, a fan, and string lights. Each site is private and beautifully set up, just minutes from the Appalachian Trail. Check-in was easy, and the team was so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Moon Valley Campground created the best camping experience we’ve ever had! We stayed at the Hilltop Hideaway for my husband’s 40th and it was the perfect mix of comfort and nature—private, peaceful, and beautifully designed. Every detail was thought through, from string lights and heaters to maps and easy firewood ordering. The team was friendly, responsive, and made everything seamless. We’ll definitely be back soon!

A hidden gem in the hills! Moon Valley Campground in Vernon, NJ far exceeded our expectations. The Lookout had everything we needed—comfy bed, heater, lights, and unbeatable valley views. I could go on for days about this place, but the view alone makes it unforgettable! The site is perfectly located—close to stores and a great local market, yet totally peaceful and secluded. Hiking trails, including the Appalachian Trail, are right nearby. Dominic was incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed (though the site was already well-equipped). Highly recommend for the perfect getaway!

Dom’s campground is incredible—clean, well kept, and easy to navigate with plenty to do nearby. Our group hiked, fished, and explored the area, and Moon Valley Campground was the perfect home away from home. We’ll definitely be back and recommend it to everyone!
